The Silent Passenger: Part Two

Lisa drives down an empty road, her eyes flicking to the rearview mirror. A soft thud comes from the backseat. She tightens her grip on the steering wheel, trying to ignore it.

Her phone buzzes. It’s a message from Sam: "Did you make it home safe?" Lisa starts typing a response: "Yeah, nothing weird," but hesitates, deletes the text, and puts the phone down. Her eyes return to the mirror, and she notices a faint shadow shifting in the backseat.

Suddenly, the car radio bursts to life with a loud, static-filled noise. Startled, Lisa slams her hand on the radio, turning it off. "I’m not crazy," she mutters to herself.

She pulls into a small, dimly lit gas station. The flickering neon sign casts a ghostly glow over the empty lot. Lisa steps out, her shoes crunching on the gravel as she glances nervously back at the car.

For a split second, she sees a figure sitting in the backseat—a hollow-eyed figure staring straight at her. She freezes. But when she blinks, the figure is gone.

Lisa hurries inside the gas station. The cashier behind the counter barely looks up as she approaches. The lights buzz overhead, casting harsh shadows on the shelves. Lisa opens her wallet to pay, but a small, old photograph slips out and falls to the floor.

It’s a picture of her from years ago, sitting in the backseat of a car. But there’s something else in the picture—a dark, shadowy figure sitting beside her. Lisa’s heart races as she quickly stuffs the photo back into her wallet.

She rushes back outside, only to find the back door of her car slightly open. Her breath catches. She slams the door shut, jumps into the driver’s seat, and fumbles with her keys. Her phone buzzes again. This time, it’s an unknown number. The message reads: "I see you."

Her hand shakes as she drops the phone. She looks into the rearview mirror—the backseat appears empty now, but she’s not sure what to believe anymore.

Lisa starts the car and drives off quickly, rain starting to fall heavily against the windshield. Visibility drops as the storm intensifies. The radio suddenly turns on again, but this time, a distorted voice comes through: "You can’t escape. I’ve always been here."

Lisa frantically tries to turn it off, but the voice grows louder, more insistent: "I’ve always been here, Lisa. You just didn’t see me."

Up ahead, the headlights catch a wrecked car in the middle of the road. Lisa slams on the brakes, skidding to a stop just in time. Her heart pounds as she stares at the wreck. Beyond the wreck, a figure stands in the distance, barely visible through the rain. It’s the same hollow-eyed figure from the backseat.

The figure begins to walk toward her, slow and deliberate. Lisa’s breath quickens, her grip tightening on the wheel. She knows she can’t just drive away.

She whispers, "What do you want?"

The figure stops, inches from her window. Its face is hidden in the shadows, but Lisa can feel its gaze piercing through her. The figure reaches for the door handle and speaks, its voice clear now: "To be heard."

The car door creaks open.

True Scary The Shadows In The Doorway Horror Stories | Scary Stories

The Shadow in the Doorway Sarah had always loved the idea of living alone, so when she found the perfect apartment in the city, she didn’t hesitate. The rent was reasonable, the building was in a quiet neighborhood, and the place was full of charm. It was just what she had been looking for. But on the first night in her new home, she noticed something strange. No matter how hard she tried to close her bedroom door, it wouldn’t fully latch. There was always a small gap. Sarah didn’t think much of it at first. Maybe the wood was warped, or the apartment had settled in strange ways over the years. It was around midnight when Sarah woke up. The room was quiet, but something felt off. She turned over in bed and glanced at the door, her eyes adjusting to the dim light filtering in from the hallway. That’s when she saw it—just outside the gap, a shadow. It wasn’t moving, just standing there, as if someone was silently waiting in the hall. Sarah’...
